Onaβs Story
Age at diagnosis: 3 years and 6 months
Breed: Miniature Schnauzer
Ona started with a grand mal seizure. Our regular vet diagnosed her with idiopathic epilepsy but I wanted a second opinion and we went to a neurologist. She had an MRI and spinal tap. The results weren't clear if it was a tumour or an inflammation. She got medication for her seizures. After 3 weeks she had more and more seizures so we did another MRI and the inflammation had spread - she was then diagnosed with MUO. Five months later, the inflammation is controlled but not the seizures. Still fighting πͺπ»
