Chilli’s Story

Age at diagnosis: 2 years 10 months

Breed: Pomeranian

Chilli is my little warrior. She is a small dog with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. From the very beginning, she has been full of life — always playful, loving, and deeply connected to our family. One day, everything changed. Chilli started showing neurological symptoms that we couldn't ignore. After many tests and a lot of fear, she was diagnosed with MUO (Meningoencephalitis of Unknown Origin). It was devastating. Suddenly, our happy, energetic dog was fighting a serious, life-threatening disease.

Despite everything, Chilli never gave up. Even during the hardest moments, when her body was weak, she still wagged her tail, still wanted to be close, still showed us love. She is currently on steroid treatment, and while there are ups and downs, she continues to fight every single day.

Chilli is not just a dog — she is family. She has taught us strength, patience, and unconditional love in ways we never expected. Watching her fight has been both heartbreaking and inspiring. 💜

Chilli is part of The Theo Project's canine meningitis registry - a growing global collection of MUE, MUO and SRMA stories shared to help families facing this diagnosis.
